About Us
At Alsek River Adventures, we’re a close-knit family business dedicated to ensuring you have an unforgettable experience. Experiencing the real Alaska in a place you can truly get away. We go above and beyond to create lasting memories for every guest. With our warm hospitality and personalized service, we invite you to experience the beauty of our remote fishing lodge in a way that feels just like home.
The Graber Family
We are Brandt and Kaytlynn Graber, the owner/operators of Alsek River Adventures. As we prepare for 2025, we look forward to our 16th season of commercial fishing in Dry Bay together. This region holds a special place in our hearts, as it has been a significant part of my, Kaytlynn's, life since childhood. I began spending my summers in Dry Bay at just 7 months old, and each summer since then has further deepened my connection to this place. Our family legacy of commercial fishing began with my Grandpa, continued with my dad, and now extends to our children.
25 years ago my parents started their lodge on the Italio River, Italio River Adventures. For the last 10 years Brandt and I have been working alongside of them learning from the best. Growing up with a love of hospitality and the great outdoors has made running a small remote fishing lodge the perfect match for us. We are thrilled to be opening the lodge this year.
Our three kiddos can be seen working and playing alongside us all summer (although not in camp). We believe that there is no better place to raise a family than on the beaches and riverbanks of Dry Bay. Brandt and I cherish the diversity this area offers—there is something for everyone, from adults to kids.
Situated between Mt. St. Elias and Mt. Fairweather, we enjoy breathtaking views and the unique opportunity to connect with nature, rivers, mountains and the ocean. Whether you desire a day at the beach or a chance to catch your first salmon, we’re excited to share this remarkable part of Alaska with you. When adventuring with us, we aim to make you feel at home in this beautiful environment.
The Flowers Family
Brian and Samantha Flowers, along with their three children and their beloved dog Murphy, have joined us at Alsek River Adventures, bringing their love of the outdoors and hospitality to our team. We are beyond grateful to have such dedicated partners alongside us on this journey.
Brian, who spent his childhood in Drybay, has returned after serving our country as a pilot in the United States Navy. His deep-rooted love for Drybay and passion for the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, drive his commitment to our shared goals.
Samantha, truly Brian's perfect match, embodies a wealth of talents. As a full-time mom who homeschools their children, she also manages their commercial fishing business and takes an active role in their local church, organizing and leading various programs. Her background includes teaching and providing care as a hospice nurse. With her adventurous spirit and enthusiasm for hunting and fishing, Brian and Samantha have formed an exceptional partnership, creating an unstoppable team that we are proud to have here at Alsek River Adventures.
